EBSF_2 London demo event on IT standard introduction in existing fleets

Increasing quality of service to passengers in constraint economic context is at stake for today’s public transport authorities and operators. Areas of improvement can be found in developing interoperable IT systems to reduce costs and enable competitive tenders.

The EBSF_2 London demonstration team, led by Transport for London, cordially invites you to an event taking place in London on 19 September.

The event will highlight the work carried out by the London team to test and validate “IT standard introduction in existing fleets”, showcasing standardised IT architecture in a complex multi-supplier environment. Public transport applications, such as AVMS (Automated Vehicle Monitoring System), produced by different IT suppliers and Communication Gateway have implemented open interfaces compliant with ITxPT (Information Technology for Public Transport), all aiming for easier and cost-effective interoperability of public transport systems.

The demonstration event and the site visit will take place in the morning, followed by a workshop on IT interoperability vision in the afternoon.  A detailed agenda will follow in June.
The EBSF_2 Demo Event will take place in conjunction with the ITxPT Workshop #7 reserved for ITxPT Association members.
